Chillicothe’s Wonderful Wally Discharged From Hospital

After 100 days in the hospital, Chillicothe’s ‘Wonderful Wally’ has been discharged.

16-month-old Wally Bastian, was born with Barth Syndrome, and needed a heart transplant to survive. After 41 days on the waiting list, Wally had a successful surgery in late February.

Wally’s mom, Kelsey, continues to share updates on Wally’s condition with his followers on Facebook.

Kelsey says 47 days after transplant, Wally is maintaining weight, and has been discharged to stay at the Ronald McDonald House with mom and dad.

Kelsey Bastian wrote on Facebook, “We know there will be may trials and tribulations and that our journey isn’t over…but for now we’re all together again! Thank you for being a part of Wally’s Journey and for being a Wally Warrior! Stay tuned for what’s next!”
