Peoria Firefighters Douse East Bluff Fire

Fire resulted in damage to an East Bluff Peoria home.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire at 222 E. Gift Ave. at 10:37 a.m. Saturday. The first company on the scene reported light smoke with fire showing from one side of the residence.

Battalion Chief Shawn Sollberger said the homeowner advised crews that no one was inside.

The fire was contained to its origin and was extinguished within two minutes.

There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
